Our Process

Transforming Strategic Vision Into Business Reality

TDG has a three-step, hands-on approach to assure success and implementation of continuous improvement processes.

We recognize the unique needs of our clients. Every client has attempted to address performance improvement needs; some have achieved significant improvements. TDG works with clients to customize design and implementation strategies that further these improvements and address additional needs. This ability to tailor our services allows clients to build upon previous gains, reinforce and expand upon existing efforts and introduce new skills and tools to advance and accelerate achievement of their business objectives.

Needs Analysis
The process begins with the Needs Analysis. The analysis identifies improvement opportunities and assesses the internal needs of a client’s organization. Interviews, observations, process analyses and information systems reviews are utilized to evaluate:

Based on conclusions reached during the analysis, TDG and client management mutually design an Implementation Plan that addresses identified needs.

Implementation
From experience TDG has found that classroom training alone rarely achieves changes in people and processes. To make the real behavioral changes necessary to drive improvements, people not only have to learn more, they have to do more to change the status quo. TDG spends significant time one-to-one, with all levels of the client’s organization, serving as a catalyst for change.

Utilizing proven coaching and facilitation methods, TDG consultants demonstrate how to adapt and apply newly learned techniques and proven information and analytical tools to each department’s unique work environment. By focusing on “real world” issues, client personnel are able to turn these techniques into skills that provide immediate results and a foundation for ongoing improvements.

The custom designed Implementation Plan is structured to fulfill the skill and process requirements of a client’s organization and, more importantly, to put new skills and tools into practice in day-to-day operations. One-to-one coaching and group facilitation are used on-the-job to put new techniques into practice.

Needs addressed in the Implementation Plan often included:

Continuous Process Support
Periodic TDG visits, after implementation, assist clients in maintaining results and continuing to expand their improvement process.
